The annual Anacortes Kid’s Fishing Event was held on June 3rd. This annual event is coordinated as a partnership between the City of Anacortes Parks and Recreation department and the Fidalgo / San Juan Island’s chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers and has been held the first Saturday of June for over 20 years.
2023 stats:
Attended by approximately 130 youth anglers.
Heaviest fish caught, just under 4lbs. Lightest fish caught, a couple of ounces.
Total numbers of fish caught, more than I could count!
Hotdogs prepared by the Kiwanis club, 150 grilled beauties!
Smiles on everyone’s faces, countless!
