This is a map/trip planner for the first time river fishermen to take advantage of the skagit river steelhead opertunity and to take in the sites

from anacortes drive east on 20

the first thin you will want to check out is the big field on the right side of the road just past mile marker 76. during the winter a large herd of elk frequent this field. another marker is its the first big field past the first time you see the skagit on the right

after you pass thru Concrete the first stop will be jack man creek. its between Mile markers 87-88. there is a wood carvers shop on the left and a driveway across the street, take that drive way and when it forks stay right. it will take you back towards the jackman creek bridge, park follow creek down to sakgit. good trail expect to see deer but especially steady your nerves because I have never walked that trail with out flushing a Ruffled grouse. fish below the exposed rocks on the up river side of the creek. great holding water. approx 200 yard walk.

next fishing stop will be fabers landing Mile marker 93-94. park and walk down to the boat ramp then back up the bank about 20 yards. large boulder garden right on the bank..good fishing but snaggy.

Next fishing stop will be at the Howard Miller Steelhead park. Mile marker 97-98, the most under fished spot is right under the 322 bridge on the park side. Good reast rooms and nice people around this area

after this the next eagle watching place and some good fishing is the swift creek sutter creek bar its on the right at mile marker 99-100, park on the left and cross road and make your way to the bar...lots of people fish there

Mile marker 103 Stop at Clarks cabins resturant on the left. good food with the best Sticky Buns around.

At mile 106 you are in Marblemount, when highway 20 bends hard left stay staight and cross the skagit. 1/4 mile lator the cascade loop goes to the right, over the cascade 50 yards lator Hatchery road will take you to see the hatchery...a Must see...
